You will see on it almost all of the reviews. Tried to hit our credit card for an addtional $75.00 . We put a hold on our credit card and Freightquote would still try to hit the card usually after midnight every other night. Had to cancel credit card. Still they had nerve to try to collect by having a rep call. On Top of that they have now turned debt over to a third party collections agency. ALL for a $75.00 residential delivery fee that should have been collected at time of delivery not try to sneak a credit card charge on the shipper in the middle of the night. Crooked organization. DO NOT USE EVER!!!!

Worse Possible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have used this company in the past and had a horrible customer service experience. I then tried again years later thinking maybe they have improved their service but I was sorely mistaken. I am not new to shipping and currently spend 7 figures in shipping every year via Ocean, LTL, truckload and some rail. I point is I understand shipping enough and coupled with my common sense have a fair idea on what service level I should get. I unfortunately used a consolidator for my shipment via Freightquote which quoted me 7-8 business days from midwest to west coast. Now I find out the day it should be delivered that its still in Chicago waiting for a lane. Now I am told maybe it might be shipped by the 20th of this month which is now 18 days after being picked up. Now I understand that the shipping time is NOT guaranteed but I feel that Freightquote should at least put a disclaimer on all consolidators that the quoted time is really not realistic and may be up to a year. That's right, my rep Sam Warhol told me technically they can deliver my item a year later. Well that is just great, so that is further reason to actually put on that shipper quote that they have up to a year to deliver since they are a freight consolidator. My inept rep. Sam then proceeds to argue with me that I should know better, and that it's all in their 5K word terms and conditions at the bottom of their site. Well that technically is true, I also believe that companies knowing this is an issue should highlight that in the quote section that your deliver can take up to a year. They won't do that though as it would render that vendor useless and more than likely no one would use them. They are sure to highlight the insurance value limit and try to upsell you insurance (cause they make money on this) so why they can't put a simply pop up next to the consolidators quote that simply says hey this eta is a loose estimated time and may take up to a year for delivery. *** I would have accepted a simple 30 days for delivery and that would have been enough for me to choose another carrier. Mind you I am not talking about 2,3 or even 7 days late- I am talking hopefully getting my shipment 15-20 days after the quoted time frame. Stay as far away from this company and this rep Sam Warhol as possible. To not heed my warning is to invite russian roulette to your delivery or items.

Overcharged

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Terrible choice of freight transfer, they overcharged us $160 because we didn't have a dock, but we did have a dock, they relied on google maps to look at facility and they kept claiming our facility was Public Storage next door. There are many other freight companies to get quotes from I would suggest you use them instead of these people, names are Zachary & Jodi

You could pay alot more !!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am personally Extreamly Happy with freightqoute, you could pay alot more. I learned very quickly that you need to specify correct weight and dimensions if you under estimate you will be charged extra...understandable. make sure you specify if you need a lift gate or not and wheather the receiver on the other end has a means to got of truck or if they need a lift gate. These guys work to save you the max amount of you provide them, with incorrect information you kinda throw a wrench in the works. Try UPS or FEDEX or a private shipper and pay 5 TIMES the cost.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They give a quote to move freight and you agree to that and to pay that amount. When you get the invoice it higher (every time) I have used them. When you pay the amount that you were quote and agreed to pay and you do pay. Then they start harassing and threatening you. Worst company with no accountability or integrity. Please don't put yourself in this situation of adding stress and hassle to your life.

Extra costs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We hired freightquote to arrange shipping of an item from a military base to our office, provided all of the correct shipping information, but somehow the bill of lading we provided to freightquote didn't get sent to the trucking company. The load went to a different state. The sale rep who promised to take care of it left their employ and now I'm stuck with the bill. Most emails and calls have gone unanswered, and even after promises of "a manager will call you tomorrow" still nothing.

Delayed shipment and overcharge

Shipment was delayed several times. In spite of specifying "no forklift" available for offload and lift gate requirement, they showed up with no means to unload. I had to pay for laborers ! "Load to big to use lift gate" was the excuse. Driver was rude. Then they charged my credit card with additional fees !!! Don't use Freightquote Angry

Section 7 Bill of lading

Shippers with customers arranging transportation with freightquote.com need to be aware that section 7 is omitted from freightquote.com's bill of ladings. This exposes the shipper to the freight charges should your customer not pay freightquote.com for any reason. Protect yourself. Use your own bill of lading on collect and 3rd party collect shipment and sign section 7.

Disapointed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had the same experience with Freightquote. Got a great quote shipped our product. Two weeks later they charged my CC without permission. $350 loss. Switched to Freight Center, same thing. Sent me a quote we could manage. Shipped, then an invoice for $969 two weeks after the shipment was delivered. Sent a follow up email telling them I felt this was a scam, haven't heard back. You directly to the carrier and their fees will put you out of business. This is why the brokers look so attractive. We are small and just starting out. We have to manage a very tight budget with no surprises. Frustrated in TX

It's a shame you give NO details about WHY your bill was adjusted--and it was adjusted by the carrier, NOT FREIGHTQUOTE! If incorrect information is provided to your broker (over the phone or online) when they set up the shipment, of course the carrier is going to adjust your bill!

Stop blaming others when you or the other party involved in that shipment possibly misrepresented the facts about the freight--weight, dimensions, product description, freight class, proper packaging--to begin with, or caused/allowed extra services to be performed by the carrier (reconsignment, liftgate used, location type was actually residential/non-commercial, carrier had to make more than one attempt to pickup/deliver, etc.). Any of these problems are things they can legally charge for, anything that is different from the legally-binding document

They quoted one price and now want $286 MORE than the original quote. Freightquote damaged my property during delivery, made the delivery weeks late, and charged my credit card on file without permission. The should be investigated and shut down to avoid hurting further consumers.

Damaged products during shipment that that they will not take responcibility for

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Contacted Freight Quote to have then line up a carrier to have them deliver a used transformer that I bought. They lined up Central Transport.

I received it and did not know it was damaged beyond repair during shipment. Tried to get it resolved for 6 months until they said Central Transport would only cover $14.00 of a $450.00 transformer. They said they would waive the shipping, which I as not going to pay anyway because I was not going to pay for scrap metal.

Their customer service sucks and they told me that I should have opened up the box and inspected it before signing the shipper. Pretty sure the truck driver would not ant to wait around to do this and never have I had to do this with any other carrier.

Anyone reading they should be advised not to use Freight Quote or do it at your own risk.
